About Us

The nature of project is mainly health and educational sector. Dr Suneel Athawale started practice in 1986 with homoeopathic holistic approach. Being  in this profession for last  25 yrs he is well versed with the  geographical area,
local social, financial and physical problems. As basically he himself is social in nature, he identified and analysed the local health problems. He found that a general yardstick for health services cannot be applied for all the health problems as the health problems varies from place to place ,and according to the educational status, gender and age group.

The priority of the problems varies according to individual family needs and problems ;and ultimately the income. The basic need was not that of super specialized health services  but minimum basic health facilities. So he arranged and has been arranging  various free health camps at Deogad so as to extend the facilities of consultants to the needy . The camps included Gynac camps,Opthalmo camps,Sonography camps,Ortho camps ,Diabetic camps etc.

The response was good in the sense none of the camp was a “me too camp” and follow up of all the patients was maintained .But it has been found that many of those who were really indicated patients for the camps had not attended the camp. The reasons were multifold . The first reason was the  unawareness in spite of adequate publicity. Another cause was daily wages or earning . Spending a day for the camp was not affordable. As their immediate priority was earning .So to overcome this difficulty various camps were arranged in the micro interiors with the help of local practitioners. The response increased . The reasons were obvious.

The participation of local practitioners in the activity  helped to overcome their resistance. As the local practitioners received the support and back up and plus the goodwill they actively participated. This active participation helped to reach to the peripheral patients, and the selected deprived patients were picked up. He has even provided 3 ambulances to cater these needs and to overcome the problems of transport and communication.

Motivation & objective behind the project

The holistic homoeopathic approach was the main driving force. While still earning by practice he tried to dedicate 20 % of his time share towards charitable work .His wife Dr.Mrs Manjusha  a consulting homoeopath joined him in 1990. She equally handled all the charitable activities. She has not only supported but actively participated in all the camps. The results of the camps was so encouraging that the blessings by the patients was the main motivation to arrange many more camps. The objective was to extend the basic health services to the needy one either totally free or at charitable rates.
